Either way, One in the same person. I take that as an incredible compliment to be told that I sound like Jim. He may not like it though. I love it that you completely skirted every statement I made about being restricted from shooting your spike horns and went straight on the attack again but yet you have absolutely nothing to stand on besides you want to continue killing young bucks at your leisure. I bet you voted for Obama too didnt you. While you guys are over here taking personal attacks on me, I have never once attacked you personally or even mentioned your name or group on my page. Not once. Nor will I in the future. I think this speaks loud and clear as to your character and to who is really the desperate one here.

Lets get this clear I called out your dishonesty that MARs would create a deer hunting mecca so you and others wouldn't have to go to other states and I am not Curtis, GET IT ! You posting about death threats and just about everything in the post quoted show quite well who you are
I do not see where any one skirted your claim of being restricted . You just don't like the answer.

This will be the second time I have told you that I don't play those games FF I started that thread you are speaking of and put it on the open board where even guests can reply. So get over it or take it to that thread (for now) as I haven't decided if it will last or not yet (The open board staying open for guests to post) Lets be honest. You put it there so non-members could be aware of your current "witch hunt". Otherwise, it would have been in the Smart talk forums where you could willy nilly talk about people behind their backs. I don't really care what you do with it, although I have a prudent suggestion as to what you could "do" with it.

Let me get one thing straight here. I have never lied to ANYONE about the data that has been collected by the DNR. They collected it not me. We simply used the data to prove that APRs work and do exactly what they are designed to do and that is allow approximately 50% of yearling bucks to make it to the ripe old age of 2 and a few more bucks to get to 3 and 4 respectively. That is it. This makes our herd more diverse and healthier. SO what if they have larger antlers because of it. There are hundreds of articles by professions that back this up as well. As for the social end of this, it also makes for much higher hunter satisfaction levels. How is using actual data gathered by the DNR lying to anyone? As far as why I am not heading to the NW12 to hunt, that is simple. The APRs are very new. Leelanau County didn't get to where it is today over night. It will take a few years. Also the timing of 2 sever winters back to back obviously has had a negative effect on the herd. Nothing any of us can do about that. My last reason is because the guys that are lucky enough to be able to hunt in that zone would rather not have me and bunch of down staters come up and over run them, anymore then I would want that if the shoe was on the other foot. Unlike the Anti QDM/APR guys lining up on our line opening morning to shoot the small bucks that we have let go. Seriously, is it so bad to have to pass up a few bucks every year so they can get one or more years older? A large buck is celebrated. Why are you making it out to be a crime to want to harvest better bucks? Why??? That is why we can't sleep the night before the season opens isn't it? I don't know about you but I don't dream about a big ol spike horn walking up out of the cedar swamp. I dream of a large racked mossy horn. If we can do this and its better for our herd then why are you so against it? Nobody is taking any liberties away from you.

We sure do remember how it went. 62% of approved and 38% disapproved. No where in any democratic society do you need 66% for something to pass. If you knew anything about statistics you would would know that you will get the same results +/- 1% if you survey 2000 people or 200,000 people. That is a fact. They call Presidential elections on exit polls of 2000 people. You obviously would debate that into the ground as miss-information as well I am sure. Even though it is a fact. You are delusional. Which means "A false belief held despite strong evidence against it; self-deception." There is a mountain of evidence supporting APRs but you refuse to see the truth. All you can do to refute is say you don't have time to go into it. I have wasted enough time on you today so good day Sir.

Follow up statements made by a few of you directed at what Lincoln said APR's would create are both patently false and an attempt to mislead your readers. More of the same from a few of you, and not unexpected. High school indeed.

If you knew anything about surveys you would know they are different from elections. Look up random surveys and stratified surveys. Then get back to me. 65 percent approval on a non random stratified survey still isn't a majority of the people. Look it up and get back to me.

Better is a very vague word, don't you think. Nope. "Better" can be measured. Hunter approval of APR's would not have increased if they had not perceived their hunting as "better". That's the facts. But, I digress. This forum is not for debating APR's. I suggest you do the same.

dead head - be very proud of what you do here. As you advocate for holding Michigan back to the 19th century you can be proud that you have fought for what you believe in. As you look at your box full of spike horns and your freezer full of yearling buck venison be proud that nobody told you what to shoot. Be proud that you were unwilling to even entertain trying something new to see if it could possibly make this state a better place to hunt. Be proud, be proud that you are so scared of change that you might not be able to keep up and harvest a buck that has seen 2 winters.

Wow, guess I missed the point of hunting deer completely. All these years I thought filling the freezer with meat was the goal...geez, now I guess we will have to survive on toothpicks and water and feel good that we let the ONLY deer we have seen while hunting go because somebody who doesn't hunt here said we had too and that we should be ashamed of ourselves for shooting anything less than a trophy worthy buck. I'm sorry but I guess I don't understand why someone who doesn't hunt here can start a movement to regulate my local hunting based on their beliefs. Deer hunting should be for recreation and for the meat, if that isn't why you do it then you do it your way and I will do it mine. Feeding my family is more important than feeding your ego. As for doehead and his garage? Just what are those strange noises that have been heard in there?

Here is something to ponder , in a random survey (the QDM survey is not random) done by the DNR, the support for MARs on a state wide basis was only 46%
" Hunters were nearly equally divided in opinion about regionalantler-point restrictions (46% supported and 45% opposed these regional restrictions)."
Another thing to think about is the major infomercial and big billboards that went along with that survey that made all kinds of unsubstantiated claims of the benefits from MARs if hunters just voted yes You know Vince sold a lot of those sham-WOWS and slap choppers with infomercials like that
"There is a mountain of evidence supporting APRs but you refuse to see the truth."
The reality is the exact opposite of what you are trying to make people believe . Mars have been around for a long time and have a long track record of not performing the way it has been claimed they will. Even the success in Leelanau is suspect with the tainting of the data by allowing the sponsoring group to push the collection of the data and even collecting much of it them selves ;)The same with the Clare data etc.
Here is a video on the repeated failure of MARs to perform the way they have been advertised over the last 70 years . All data has the source in blue so you can fact check it

This is WAAYYYY to funny! His excuse for not traveling a few miles north to hunt in the NWLP big buck mecca (their claims of what MARs would create after the first year ) is so he wont crowd the locals (you know being the "better" guy like the MARs crowd always claims to be) in the NWLP but he will travel hundreds of miles and spend thousands of dollars to crowd the hunters in Iowa
How does that saying go .............oh yah I remember it is "you just can't make this stuff up"

The first post set the tone, and was an attack on someone. It didn't attack you at all. As far as your enjoying life jab. What's not to enjoy? I have a 6 figure income, great wife and family, live in a sunny and warm climate, and own 100+ acres of prime deer hunting land in Michigan. My life is quite enjoyable, but thank you for your "concern". I think you've confused my intolerance for ignorance as having a "chip on my shoulder". Enjoy your day.
