deer sightings in our group was down in Presque Isle county. Between the hard winter and the continued doe kills it was challenging from years past. I saw Nine in five days of hunting state land. saw two spikes though that was encouraging. I talked with a couple guys around the area who echoed our findings. Think they could back off on the doe kill.

We saw 3 deer between 6 hunters in Roscommon county in over 10 days of hunting. Very little sign of deer activity. After many miles of walking with snow on ground, very few tracks.

The last 2 year's have been the best for our camp in over 50 years. Many large antlered bucks especially for northern Michigan with no farm land. Not as much movement during gun season as last but still managed to get some great bucks. Was there in 3rd week of October for bow but only saw doe and smaller bucks then.

I have only had one doe in range all season. I have only seen three. All year. The one doe I saw was the day before firearm opened. In years past, I have taken days to just watch the deer come in. I knew they would be back. I know there was a lot of acorns this year, at least where I'm at, but I can't believe that would lead to the season I've had. Midland co, out.

Alger area was terrible. Saw 3 deer all season while on the stand and I put in 15 sits with 3 of them being all dayers.

Worst year I have ever had in 30 years of hunting. There's plenty of acorns and food in the woods that is untouched.

Only had 10 different deer on my trail cams and most pics are in the middle of the night.

My suggestion is to go to 1 buck per person, with 3 points on one side and 1 doe per person total deer limit for the whole season. The deer herd in Michigan is hurting bad and I don't see it rebounding anytime soon. Terrible management practices and terrible hunter "if its brown its down" attitudes.

We own property in Oscoda County, and had one of our best years ever. Saw lot's of deer with young and mature bucks. We only harvested one mature(aged at 4.5 years) and let numerous smaller, but yet legal bucks go. With the collective effort in that area, things seem to be looking up!

Hunted in oscoda county between mio and rose city. I saw 3 doe and a couple spikes, my father and nephew didn't see a thing the whole weekend. It's been very disappointing the past couple years. Make things fair with the license structure for DMU 487, either restrict everyone to 3 points on a side (combo tag) or no restrictions at all (single season tag). Tired of not being able to fill the freezer and having to pass up smaller bucks but the weekend warriors come up and shoot bucks I have to pass up, so much for "letting them grow".

Alpena county deer sightings about normal still to many does and very few mature bucks, in order to have descent buck population they need to get the buck to doe ratio around 3 to 1 like the big buck states do and go to 1 buck tag only maybe people will start shooting a doe to fill the freezer instead of a yearling buck then.

Seasons keep gettin worse deer herd is no where near up, The APR still suck and it's not looking like Michigan is gonna bounce back. In my last 5yrs hunting Deer numbers are decreasing steadily fewer sightings on sits makes a Michigan Hunter ready to leave to hunt else where why waste money on a dissatisfied season every year in Michigan to many if it's brown it's down hunters or Meat UN the freezer hunters I need to feed my family well save some of that money you buy all your equipment with an feed your family the excuses are gettin old!!!

Here in Presque Isle County it was one of the worst deer seasons I have ever participated in.  12 days of hunting and seeing only 6 deer is very disappointing.  I believe we should go back to the old way, one deer for all year, that's it!!!  No more of this 5 doe tags a day and two bucks a year, highly considering giving up hunting all together.
