DNR to host public meeting in Stephenson Sept. 12 regarding access to Small Creek Road parcel
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will host a public meeting Friday, Sept. 12, in Stephenson, regarding recreational access to the Small Creek Road parcel, located approximately 2.25 miles south of G-12 on the east side of Sturgeon Road in Menominee County.
Adjacent landowners and any others interested in public recreational access to this area of state-managed land are invited to participate.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. CDT (7 p.m. EDT) at the DNR’s Stephenson Field Office, located at W5420 River Road in Stephenson.
“We look forward to meeting with interested stakeholders to continue working on finding the proper solution that addresses the public’s recreational enjoyment of this parcel while ensuring that the Department is a good neighbor to adjacent property owners,” said Stacy Haughey, DNR’s Upper Peninsula Regional COORDINATOR.
