That is terrible. I worry about that because there is state land around me and some of those hunters are not very careful. Today the news reported that two women in separate areas shot themselves in the leg. I wonder if they were using those lever action Winchesters. I like those rifles but I have seen guys handle them dangerously. My wife, De, was one of the few that I would trust loading one while standing near me.

Yes , a few years ago a couple of brothers(I think) that were in the same blind together had that happen and the one kid was shot in the gut. Thankfully he lived .....
That is the kind of gun I have ,and what critter is hunting with the last couple of evenings. He hears it from me EVERY time he loads and unloads that gun!!!
