Mentored youth pheasant hunt in Shiawassee County

Morning session at 7:30 a.m.
Afternoon session at 1 p.m.

Genesee County Pheasants Forever and the Flint Regional Chapter of Safari Club International are offering – at no charge – a chance for young women and men to experience the outdoors and participate in
a well-organized pheasant hunt.
Two half-day sessions are available, featuring live presentations, skill development, safety training and hunting. Light snacks and drinks, lunch (for the morning hunt), clay birds and target shells, three pheasants per hunter in the field, guides and dog handlers, a Pheasants Forever Ringneck membership, an orange hat or vest, and a mask will be provided.
Participants must be 10 to 17 years old, have some experience handling shotguns and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
There are 10 openings each for the morning and afternoon session. Registration is required by Sept. 19.

Although this is an outdoor program and proper social distancing of at least 6 feet is required, participants still are encouraged to wear face coverings as an added precaution.
