Well don't know how long this is going to act up but I have a sciatic nerve problem in the back and I made it back to the blind the first time but was hurting bad. The second time I got all tangled up in some brush on the ground and wound up on the ground. I have been hurting every day so haven't felt much like hunting lately. Maybe time to put the blind a little closer to my sister's house so I don't have to walk as far.

I am very sorry to hear that, hl. That can be a very painful and debilitating problem. It is certainly no fun.
It seems that everyone at our camp has arthritis problems. We all have had to adapt and restrict our hunting. Over the counter Tylenol Arthritis Pain Medication is all that we take along with a variety of ointments. The athletic sore joint and muscle ones seem to work best.
One fellow at our camp has falling issues and we have had to move his blind closer to the cabin not far from mine so that he can get help if needed. He also needs shoulder surgery which he is putting off until after deer season.
Getting older can certainly be frustrating.

Yes getting older is not fun.Usually I dont say to much about my arthritis but that day was one that I really was hurting and when I fell I was lame for a week so I'm sorry for airing my dirty laundry there. I read it back over and thought I should have deleted that. I hate complaining but that day I was really down..Sorry again.

My back and my ticker have hampered my hunting season so far. I feel your pain. I've spent a couple days in the hospital after surgery on my ticker and a couple weeks recuperating. My back pain is making it hard to walk to where I want to go. (bathroom)
that is the bad news.
I got to take two grand nieces out hunting and bring my ill brother up here to hunt.
Life is hard, but life is good.
You have to make it good, or....
Attitude is everything.
What keeps me going is it could be worse.
And I have gotten a second chance,
Hunt your hunt and be safe.

Thanks. Ive continued to hunt just not as much and now i always take my cane with me even if I'm not hurting when I go in cause I never know how my back legs and knee will feel when I get up to come out.
