I know a lot of you have followed the story of the spike I believed to be over 4 1/2 last year. I now present you with the end of the story. Last year: This year:

I held out last year as long as I could before I had to succumb to my health issues. I thought I would never hear or see from this deer again. I was wrong. A former co-worker of mines' sister lives a mile from where I hunt. She had the opportunity to harvest this magnificent buck during the muzzeloading season. It dressed out at 175lbs. Aged by the DNR at 7 1/2 yrs old.
I knew it was over 4 1/2, but what do I know.
Any doubters? Speak up, I have more proof.

No such thing as an older buck being a spike.....................no.........................................well .............................it is possible but they are so rare it is almost as if there is no such thing ........well.............the DNR aged him wrong and he is a young buck
Funny thing about that , the QDMers want you to believe those things but the truth is plenty of bucks never develop much of a rack and plenty will never be legal under the MARs they are pushing .
