I am sorry to hear that you were hurt. It would be great if your traps were filled. I have way too many coons up here.

I really thought about setting some traps but know it is best I don't at this point . Could fill the freezers up with just what has been killed on the road around here . It is obvious prices are way down when no one is picking up the road killed ones .

Looking at the fore cast for the water opener here ( Nov 1 ) I am doubting I will even try to make it out to set traps . Got lots of things needing to get done that I have not been able to do , so I am thinking that it is probably best to just wait till next year. Would be up in the UP living in the tent right now in all this nasty weather on any other year and loving it . Still holding out hope to make it out opening day of deer (gun ) season but I have chemo (8-9 hrs )on the 14th and I am still unsure it I will make it out.

I had treatment yesterday with taxitear (sp)?? And a nulasta patch to back it up.. nulasta supposed to blood numbers between treatments.. which has been my issue all along that and these dangd steroids So far I have gotten away without needing the neulasta but we will see what my next blood work looks like . I am also doing half the dose of prednisone this round of chemo and even though I am pretty sick it is not nearly as bad as taking the whole 100mg like last time. Some good news on the trapping that I hadn't remembered is there is some beaver a landowner needs rid of( and they called again to remind me today ) and so I plan on setting a couple beaver and rat traps there just to say I am trapping It is just a few miles up the road and right near the road so not much walking or carrying gear and any beaver I catch . I can leave traps set there for a week or so and so I have something to check each day Did make it out to my other deer blind and fixed the roof up a bit to make it water tight again . Still have some things I want to get done on it and to get our supplies out there . It is a pain this year as the trail we have always used to get to it starts and crosses a tiny corner of property that was recently sold and the new owners have it gated and locked now. So the boy went with me the other day and opened another over grown trail that goes into it from the other side . The issue is that trail was best left closed so want to get things done and get it closed off again so it doesn't become a permanent used trail like it used to be a long time ago .
