A little bit of education from the tip of the mitt qdma page;
Lincoln XXXX Here's an idea. How about shooting a doe with archery equipment and putting your restricted tag on it?? There is straight up no excuse in my book for killing young bucks these days. With all of the advancements in equipment and weapons these days killing a Michigan Whitetail is not a difficult thing to do. APRs are the best thing to hit NW Michigan's deer hunting in our history. Most counties in the NW13 are killing more 3 year olds and older then they are yearlings. If your not seeing a dramatic increase in age structure and number of bucks maybe you need to change your hunting methods. No excuse. Maybe you need to change...that is great QDM practice.
I though QDM was habitat management, not other hunter management.

The QDMA is all about keeping "other" hunters from shooting their bucks .The average hunter only has a chance to hunt a few days a year where the QDMers forsake family and friends in hopes of having bragging rights . It is all about GREED !

Qdma members are all about hunter restriction... I had a heated discussion in local restraunt one morning with 4 of them.. Been there , done that . The real eye opener is when they assume I am part of their cult and start " degrading " hunters that shoot small bucks . That is how I know what they really think. And way to many of those people who have done that are the same ones pretending to be so nice on the tip of the mitt facebook page .

Here is another bit of their unwritten belief system.
"I think we can handle a few less hunters..but not the disease"
Fewer hunters=less competition. The ones that drop out will be the Joe Lunchbucket crowd that could care less about what is on the wall, and more about what is on the stove. As the esteemed dr points out, hunter success rates staying the same means Maprs are a working the way they are supposed to. That is percentage wise. Real numbers will say something different. If you have 100 hunters and they shoot 40 deer, you have a 40% success rate If you lose 50 hunters because of xfactor and the other 50 shoot 25 deer, the success rate is 50%. So after xfactor was put in place rates climbed 10%. 15 Less deer but a drastically improved success rate. It looks good on paper. So the headline would read; HUNTERS SHOOT 10% MORE DEER AFTER IMPLEMENTATION OF XFACTOR. REGULATION DEEMED HUGE SUCCESS BY ORGANIZER!
This is the same kind of illogical data pushing he is using to extol his pious agenda.
