Beautiful pictures! That certainly does look like fun. I hope that you take your limit every time out. Those geese make one terrible mess around the parks on our lake. Do you make goose jerky? A trapper friend of mine did his geese up that way.

The breasts we generally maranate and grill. Sliced in 1/2" strips. The legs we generally do a stew in the crock pot

Several waterfowl hunters out hunting the marsh we were trapping in the UP. Didn't hear much shooting nor see many ducks and only heard the geese flying over a few mornings. Usually a lot more ducks and geese up there in prior years and rarely any hunters after them. Word from a waterfowl hunter friend and member on here messaged me today and said word was not much action from the area around the straights (tip of the mitt) so far this year. I suspicion it is due to no big fall storms coming through yet. Was still seeing woodcock in the UP the last few days wile out trapping.

Those are wonderful ideas for preparing the geese. I will pass them on to guys that I know that still hunt them. That idea sounds like it might work for some ducks and turkeys.
