Went hunting with my big brother this morning. We were on public land and had a ton of skybusters, but we still had a blast. I got one mallard hen with a band! I am loving duck hunting!!

Unfortunately it wasn't a cash band! But it told me when the duck was banded, its age, where it was banded, etc...

OH yea! It was banded in Tuscola county, MI on September 14, 2012.

This was only my third time going duck hunting. We went with a guy my older brother works with, and he taught a the ropes. I'm currently in the process of making jerkey out of these ducks.

Teriyaki duck jerkey turned of fantastic! Nice little snack for the deer or duck blind this weekend!

Lots of geese flying(high) over the cut corn field headed to and from somewhere to the west of here. Must be something better over that way for them to just fly over all that waste corn in the field here.
