Have not had time to read all of it but here is a screen shot of the breakdown of the pro choice and pro MARs numbers from the NEW opinion survey ............. Guess what, it shows an even split of those for and against MARS..........So how did the NWL proposal receive 68% support

These new surveys don't have all the feel good additions as the NW12 did. Plus, more hunters are aware of these proposals and surveys. It wouldn't surprise me to see those percentages reflected in the results of the surveys. But we know 68.3% support them so that percentage wouldn't shock me.

How in the H*** can the DNR get 68% support for MARs with the NWL 12 QDM proposal survey and only get 45% support with the same question in the same region with this survey ? It is not like a lot of time had passes between the two surveys................

Doehead, this survey was done after the NW 12 County MARs survey. This survey confirms what I have been saying for two years and have been highly criticized for on MS. Hunters are evenly split on MARs and there is definately manipulation and corruption in the survey process. Just waiting how this will be spun on the "other site".

The LPDMI and the QDMA group that proposed the NWL MARs both know the results of the NWL proposal survey were tainted , and yet they brag about that 68% and use it to belittle and shame the pro choice side
It is clear how much effect that biased wording had that was added on behalf of the QDMA group to get the NWL MARs passed.......

The wording was not the biggest thing that biased the NW 12 County survey. The fact that the survey was non-random and was tainted by response bias and non-response bias are much bigger factors. These are things that they count on most hunters knowing nothing about. When a completely random survey is administered you get true results like this one. The Annual Deer Harvest Survey is also completely random and that is why the MAR's results are so close. That is why I worry about the results of the LP-DMI surveys. Although they fixed the language to some extent the bias of respondants and non-respondants may put them over the top. Their answer to my question, "Why don't you do it right if you know it is tainted?" is, "Because we can't AFFORD to do it right." If that is the case then why could they afford to do THIS survey? Just asking.

Ranger Ray posted the wrong findings. On page #5 it states, "Hunters were nearly equally divide in opinion about regional antler-point restrictions (46% supported and 45% opposed these regional restrictions)." Someone needs to quote this on MS and while you are at it go back and find where Dr. Jim Bio tore me apart for suggesting that hunters were equally divided on the MAR's issue. Thanks

This survey was conducted, "Questionaires were mailed initially in mid-February 2013". (pg # 2 under meathods) The results were compiled by May if previous surveys are any example. The question arises, if they had the results in May of 2013, WHY did they wait until NOW to release them? For one reason only and that is to protect the investment the LP-DMI had made in their attempt to manipulate and mis-inform hunters that a vast majority of hunters support extreme mandatory antler point restrictions. The DNR and the NRC knew that was NOT the case and yet they HID information that proved it wa NOT the case. Would you call that a manipulation of the process? Is a manipulated process to attain a result to promote an agenda corrupt? I say yes to both questions. Why is this NOT being talked about anywhere? Just saying.
