I didn't want to derail the previous thread. But I just can't let it go.

I have replied to this post many times and did not hit the create post button. My reply's were not printable.
You see Jim, your condescending attitude towards me is something I run into all the time. I have my feet on the ground and actually converse to people with all sorts of conditions. I have never once made them feel any different from me. I can joke with them, and they laugh with me. I listen to them. I treat them all the same, regardless of their abilities.
I do not tell them I know more than they do nor do I flaunt the fact that I can walk or even talk.
I listen and talk to parents, caregivers,directors, etc, the same way. Some act like you.
And let's not talk about when we are out in public.
I guess my point is, just because you know more than me, you are not smarter.
Not even close.
You have a bad attitude buddy. I think you should learn to control your temper. It may help you make a few friends.

You are a detriment to your cause. You know what happens to let em go members who are disrespectful? They get 1 warning. Then banned permanently. The mission statement there is support aprs and the 3 on one side rule....yet a few think that if it's not a 3.5 year old they have the right to ridicule. They don't last long.... |

Doehead and fullthrottlehunter, with the fear of getting caught in the middle and squashed, I will try to give my read on this situation. Back in the previous thread on July 13, 2016 at 9;22 pm., (I wish these posts had numbers to make citing them easier.) I believe that Doehead read the post as being condescending. That is an attitude that I, too, ran into when working with special kids in schools.
However, I am not sure that fullthrottlehunter meant it that way. Sometimes we write and say things that are taken differently than we mean. That has happened to me. I write this in an attempt to try to clarify things.
